Default New Member from Arizona

Well I've been standing in the corner at this party since January, so I guess it's time to step onto the dance floor and introduce myself.
I 'am from Arizona and have owned my Black '08 Challenger SRT8 since August of 2008. It's number 6050 of 6400 made the first year.
It's sort of funny because first off I didn't think my wife would go for it, but it was her idea to buy one of the numbered, limited edition first year models rather than wait a year or so and buy an '09. (Who was I to say no to the wife...been married long enough to know better!)
Also, as a past owner of two 1970 RT/SE Challengers...I really didn't care for the new Challenger when I first saw it in pictures, but changed my mind when I finally saw it in person. (Now, I actually like it better than the first generation).
Since that day in '08 I have entered a number of car shows and have won first place in my class at each and everyone of them. Plus people just seem to be drawn to the new Challenger, and have a lot of questions which is really cool since I have met a lot of really nice people (even a few new Camaro owners...)
Hopefully I can share some stories (both true and some not so true), plus tips with all of you..............

Welcome Joe, from a former AZ resident. I used to live in Chandler.
I remember one summer evening taking the Charger up the Apache Trail to Tortilla Flats. It was twilight on a weekday, so the road was empty and I could really tear it up. I was feeling nauseous by the time I got there!

Ever driven the road to Bagdad?

Yes I have driven both routes.....the Tortilla Flats road will really test both your cars handling and your driving skill if you drive it at any speed over the posted limit.
The Bagdad road has had a lot of work done to it...it's not bad now....

(Bet you are glad to be out of the Arizona Sun!)
