There's a big discussion going on in the other forums about how much HP the SRT's will have in 2011... The AllPar article everyone is quoting (including Motor Trend, above) is basically Allpar's "best guess". There is NO confirmed report yet as to how much HP the new engine will have. The general consensus is, though, that if it's below 500, it won't be competitive with the Camaro Z28 and the new Mustang. (As in, "So what's the point?")

I hope FIAT is listening. I agree that the Challenger should be at or very close to 550hp to hold its own against the newest Mustang and Z28. But I also feel that they are missing the boat by not offering a manual transmit ion option for the Charger. All the competing models expect the Charger have a anual available.
