Default Say goodbye to Chrysler SRT models

Frankly, I could never understand making the SRT line a separate division to began with. While it sounded good on paper, bringing all your top of the line performance cars together, it was akin to making all R/Ts back in the day a separate car/division. The SRT line of cars was sold through your local Dodge/Chrysler dealer anyway, so did it really matter to the customer? The new Challenger was and always will be a Dodge, while the 300 will always be a Chrysler to the general public and the consumer.

Say goodbye to Chrysler SRT models
The Chrysler 300 SRT will die in 2015

By Alex Kierstein
May 6, 2014

Get one while you can. The Chrysler 300 SRT is an endangered species, due to die in 2015, and there's not going to be a replacement. You see, in the new constellation of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, Dodge wears the horsepower pants. Chrysler-branded SRT products are a casualty of the new world order. Even the Viper is going back in to the arms of its mother brand, Dodge—both here and in international markets.
Our source at Chrysler was also keen to tell us the Grand Cherokee SRT will soldier on for a little while. Jeep says it's due for a refresh in Q4 of 2015, and an entirely new model should drop in 2017. The SRT version might survive through the refresh, but it probably won't make it through 2017. And when it comes to SUVs, Dodge is covering its bases with an SRT version of the next Journey, packing AWD and a high-output turbo engine.

The SRT line is not dead….it just moved back home….welcome back!

I agree it does not make a difference as they are all sold at the same place.
