Here’s some good news if you own a Dodge Challenger, as the resale value of all Challengers should increase as a result of the 2014’s placing on the top ten list of the Best Resale Value Award. Even if it doesn’t affect previous years that much it’s nice to see the Challenger still winning awards well into its sixth year of production. (Remember the original Challenger only lasted four and a half years.)
The 2014 Jeep Wrangler and 2014 Dodge Challenger
have won Kelley Blue Book’s 2014 Best Resale Value Awards. In Wrangler’s case, this was the fourth consecutive year of winning its class and the third year of being on the overall top ten list; the iconic SUV rose its residual value by four percentage points in one year.
With record setting sales numbers month-over-month this year, Dodge Challenger also earned a spot on this year’s Top 10 list of vehicles with the best resale value. This is the first year for Challenger.
The Best Resale Value Awards, based on projections from staff analysts, are given to vehicles expected to maintain the greatest proportion of their original list price after five years of ownership.
